Who is the programme for?
Anyone who is looking to lose fat (weight) can take part. However; the programme has been designed, particularly, with individuals in mind who are short on time (due to life's other commitments) or have to work out during unsociable hours, but would like to start seeing results in the achievement of their fat loss goals.
You should also be familiar with exercise and not a total beginner.**
**The nature of online training means that some of the fundamental manual movement adjustments, that are often required, when you just start out are not possible through online coaching. So, it is best if you first have some face to face sessions to become acquainted with correct technique. There are other methods we can use to assess this, but it is important to to have the foundations already.
What is HIIT?
HIIT stands for High-Intensity Interval Training and is a form of exercise that alternates between short bursts of intense anaerobic exercise and brief recovery periods. The goal of HIIT is to push your body to its limits during the intense intervals, followed by a short rest or lower-intensity exercise period. This cycle is typically repeated for a set amount of time, ranging from a few minutes to around 30 or 40 minutes, longer in some cases but it really depends on the workout structure and individual fitness levels.
Why HIIT?
HIIT has gained popularity due to its efficiency in burning calories and improving cardiovascular health in a shorter amount of time compared to traditional steady-state cardio workouts. It's also adaptable to different fitness levels, as individuals can adjust the intensity and duration of the intervals to suit their abilities.
What type of exercises will I do?
HIIT workouts can involve a variety of exercises, including sprinting, jumping, cycling, resistance, and/or bodyweight exercises like burpees or high knees. The plans will also include a range of other methods such as circuit training.
Can you coach me not using HIIT methods?
Yes, that is possible. All plans will be customised for the individual. And if the Ignition Programme isn't suitable for your needs, I can offer a more bespoke solution for you. Please get in touch to discuss what you would like help with.
How long will my workouts be?
Generally, 40 to 60 minutes. This will depend on your current fitness levels, but you should allow for up to 60 minutes each workout, to ensure a warm up, HIIT component, and cooldown/stretching can be performed.
How many times a week will I have to work out?
For the main workouts I recommended this to be 3 workouts per week. But we will also look at other ways to get you moving and incorporate more general movement in your day-to-day life too.
Do I need to work out in a gym?
Although a gym is an excellent place to perform your workouts, for the Ignition Programme it is not necessary. Depending on your personal circumstances, we can make the programme work for you in most cases. This information will be discussed as part of the onboarding process.
What equipment do I need?
If you are going to be using a gym you won't need any exercise equipment, but a smart phone will be incredibly useful. We will use various digital tools to ensure your goals are reached.
If you are working out at home, again a smart phone will be very valuable. You may also need to invest in some lightweight, portable workout equipment. For example; skipping rope, resistance bands and perhaps some weighted equipment. Again, we will discuss this as part of the onboarding process and assess what is best for your individual circumstances.
Are there any crazy diets to follow?
Absolutely not! I do not recommend any fad diets, detox, 'cleanses', removing whole food groups, or even removing your favourite foods. All of these are unsustainable long term, and most are just gimmicks to prise your wallet open.
Do I have to count calories?
At least to begin with, yes. It is important for both you and I to understand exactly what you currently consume and how adjustments can be made for the achievement of your goals.
By tracking food, you will gain an insight and empowerment to make the right long-term food choices for sustainable results in consideration of your own lifestyle and goals.
It's really not as scary as it seems once you get used to it, and there are some very useful tools we can use to make the process painless.
Will you give me meal plans?
For most people, no!
In general, I'm opposed to assigning basic, one-size fits all 'meal plans'. The preference is to educate and adjust the current diet, to optimise for results. This method allows the diet to be more sustainable, long term.
However; if your current diet is largely unhealthy, we can create a high level diet structure based on your favourite foods and make adjustments to meet your individual fitness goals.
I believe in having diet flexibility, so it will never be a rigid plan that cannot be changed.
Will I have to stop eating my favourite foods?
No! But you will become aware if they impact the pursuit and achievement of your goals and make adjustments if required.
Is this for me?

What will my investment be?
Apart from your time and effort investments, there is also the finanical investment to consider.
But... it's your lucky day! Because the first 5 people who sign up for the Ignition Programme are going to receive a whopping £300 discount off of the 12-week programme.
Future intakes of the programme will have a total investment (for 12 weeks) of £1049.
However, if you decide to sign up as one of the first 5 people this will be offered at a discounted price of £749.
You will receive a secure payment link to make your payment online. Here you will choose to make full payment or take advantage of the monthly instalment option. It is also possible to pay via bank transfer if preferred.
If you choose to pay in instalments, there may be a small processing fee added to the monthly total.

Do you only accept payment in GBP?
No.
If your main currency isn't British Pounds, in most cases, I can send a payment link with your preferred currency. This may be subject to a small fee associated with the merchant's processing. I can also accept bank transfers in other currencies such as Euros and USD, please contact for more information and availability.
Why are you offering a discount?
The current discount is being offered as this is a new programme and while every effort has been made to carefully plan the offering, there may be some slight ironing out to do.

Will this affect the quality?
Absolutely not! Everything is in place to provide you with a result driven experience.
How will we communicate?
We will have a few different options for this; voice call, video call, messaging, email. We may use all or only some of these methods, depending on what support you need.
When will we communicate?
This can be tailored to individual needs and will be detailed in your welcome pack. But as an overview, as part of the programme we will have up to 2 or 3 hours of contact time each month via the previously mentioned methods.
